About Us

The Prairie Pantry is a gourmet, gadgets, cookware, and kitchen supply shop that has been a part of the Cheyenne community for over 24 years. We believe in the importance of family as we are a local, three-generation business. Dick Anthony had long dreamed of opening a kitchen store in Cheyenne. He made that dream a reality in 1997 when he opened The Prairie Pantry as a sister-business to Automatic Electric. Run by Dick's daughter-in-law Susan Anthony. They started small and occupied three downtown Cheyenne locations to support  growth. 

Thanks to the community's support, we are now in our largest facility yet and continue to expand our product offerings. 

Susan Anthony remains at the helm of the company and is passionate about providing high quality, customer services and products that you may not be able to find in other stores around Cheyenne. She is knowledgeable about the products and works tirelessly to ensure the employees can provide the high level of customer service expected – even when she is not there. The store's employees also demonstrate the commitment to family, as several employees are direct relatives. This enables us to work as a team to provide the best products and information as possible.

As we look to the future, we hope that we will continue to grow to better help us meet the needs of our customers. Currently, we are working to bring in new gift-type product lines, which is a direct result from listening to what our customers expect from us. We look forward to remaining in the community for years to come and assisting you with what products to bring into your home.
